Billy Buckner and Leo Rosales have been send down to Triple-A Tucson by the Arizona Diamondbacks who continue to trim their spring training roster down as they get ready for opening day which is less than a week away.

Buckner and Rosales are both planned to be on the big league roster at some point this season as they will probably be the first pitchers called up to pitch out of the bullpen with the Diamondbacks need some help out of the pen.

So I have had a few days to review the new baseball game for Playstation 3 and so far so good.  MLB 08 The Show is the only Major League Baseball game on the Playstation consoles this year, and well I think everyone will be happy with the game overall.

I have only had the chance to play a few games and here is what I think so far:

Pros:
Great Graphics
Gameplay is a lot of fun
Hitting is a challenge which I really like.  I hate games that let you up 10 homeruns a game!
The interactive menus I really like.  It is very simple to make subs or pitching changes.

Cons:
A little slow loading, but once you get into the game it isn’t a problem.
Online play (the one game I played) was very laggy.  I have heard others complain of the problem as well.
The fans in the stands need some more work, and the bleachers in Chicago are never empty!

I think this game could off the charts if they improve the online game play, add some more server bandwidth etc.  Right now I would MLB 08 The Show an 8 out of 10 score.  It would go up to a 9 if they improve online play.

There will be nine players away from the Diamondbacks big league camp as they were all reassigned with the minor league camp so they get more opportunities at playing time against the minor league competition.

Brooks Brown, Hector Ambriz, Barry Enright, Matt Green, Wes Roemer, Mark Rosen, Jamie D’Antona, Frank Curreri, and Chris Rahl were all sent down.  None of these players were really expected to make the big league club out of spring training so nothing is really suprising here.
