Doug Davis who was making his last start before under going thyroid surgery, helped the Arizona Diamondbacks defeat the Los Angeles Dodgers 10-5.  Davis pitched six innings, giving up six hits, and two earned runs.  He received a standing ovation as well as a curtain call after he left the game.

The Diamondbacks were led at the plate by Conor Jackson and Mark Reynolds who both batted in three RBI.  Orlando Hudson, Justin Upton, Doug Davis, and Alex Romero all chipped in with one RBI each as well.

It was awesome to see Davis pick up the win as he gets ready to go in for thyroid surgery.  He will be gone for about a month if everything goes as planned.  We wish him and his family the best.

Mark Reynolds brough his big bat to Monday nights game against the Los Angeles Dodgers as he hit two homeruns and the Diamondbacks went onto win 9-3.  Besides Reynolds going deep, Orlando Hudson and Chris Young also hit long balls.

Starting pitcher Dan Haren picked up his first win of the season as he pitched six innings and allowed six hits but only one earned run.  Great bounce back performance for Haren.

The Diamondbacks went into Coors Field and put a whopping on the Rockies today by the score of 5-1.  Micah Owings and Mark Reynolds provided the the pitching and hitting for the Diamondbacks as Owings tossed 6.2 innings and Reynolds hit a double and homeruns while racking up three RBI.

Justin Upton connected for his second homerun of the season as well as the Diamondbands kept pressure on the Rockies all day long.

This was a great win for the D-backs, I look for them to have a great game tomorrow against the Rockies as well.

The Arizona Diamondbacks dropped the series to the Cincinnati Reds after they lost 3-2 today.  The Diamondbacks are now 1-2 on the young season.  It was a great pitching performance by rookie Johnny Cueto that held the Diamondbacks back, as he struck out 10 batters, and was awesome all day long.

Doug Davis took the loss for the Diamondbacks.  He didn’t pitch badly, it was just that Cueto and the Reds were that much better today.

The only offense that Diamondbacks could come up with on Thursday was a homerun by Justin Upton.
