Armando Galarraga threw a two-strike breaking ball in the fifth inning where he wanted, just above the dirt. Alfonso Soriano hit it over the wall in left-center. Facing Soriano again two innings later, Galarraga threw what he thought was another good pitch, only to see it go out in the opposite game. It was that kind of night.
