The Philadelphia Phillies finally woke up against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Tuesday, April 24. Now they just need to find a way to do it consistently. The team hit three home runs and added several other extra-base hits in their 8-5 win over Arizona. It was the kind of offensive explosion that the team hasn’t had in a long time.

The Philadelphia Phillies don’t have much that they can count on at the moment. In fact, Phillies fans like myself can mostly only take comfort in the Philadelphia starting rotation. Without Roy Halladay, Cliff Lee, Cole Hamels and even Vance Worley and Joe Blanton to bail out the offense, no one would have any hope that this early slump would go away.
